Community Support

SAHARA Communications takes great pride in its corporate social responsibility projects. It is committed to the development of the people, and believes it is important to be able to give something back to the communities and societies in which it operates. SAHARA believes in the principle of mutual advantage and aims to improve living standards and build productive relationships.

One of SAHARA’s most passionate causes is the plight of those in Iraq, a country that is struggling to get its economy back on track following a succession of wars. In 2004 SAHARA joined forces with the United Nations in a bid to support the Iraqi community through a series of projects in the areas of
education, housing and culture.

SAHARA is also heavily involved with the Sharjah-based charity Friends of Cancer Patients, which offers support and advice to people suffering with cancer. In addition to helping with various activities, SAHARA also regularly uses its agency’s skills to compile media awareness campaigns, fundraising packs and media events such as press conferences for the charity.

SAHARA believes strongly in the importance of education, and has sponsored many educational events, including the Engineers’ Workshop run by the College of Architecture and Environmental Engineering at Sharjah University, which focused on the dangers that face sustainable development projects, and the 20th International Conference on Microelectronics.
